Dr Freya Marshall
Chartered Psychologist and CBT Therapist, Surrey

I have over 15 years of experience supporting
children, young people and their families. For the last 12 years I have worked with young people, schools and in the community as a child and educational psychologist.
As a child and educational psychologist, I have extensive knowledge of child development, learning and behaviour. I have provided psychological services to primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, nurseries and in children’s centres. This has involved assessment, intervention, consultation, training and work at the organisational level. I have delivered training to a range of professionals and am experienced in running parenting groups, including ‘The Incredible Years’ (Webster Stratton) and bespoke workshops (on a range of topics such as routines, sleep, behaviour, effective communication, anxiety, transitions, resilience).
I have specialised in mental health and well-being. As a psychologist I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and I have completed additional advanced training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I combine my skills and knowledge as a psychologist and CBT therapist to deliver high-quality evidence-based and personalised therapy. I have been involved in the supervision and training of CBT therapists at the University of Reading. I have experience of working therapeutically with children and young people presenting with a range of difficulties including low mood, self-esteem difficulties, anger, exam stress and anxiety difficulties such as separation anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias and OCD.
