Hello, my name is Maki and I am a Psychodynamic counsellor.
My approach is based on the understanding that significant events and relationships in our early life experiences can influence the way we feel and behave in the present. We all have times when we feel stuck and want to talk to someone, but sometimes it’s too personal or too difficult to talk to family or friends. I provide a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for you to share your emotions.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process, and it can take courage to want to change in some way and admit to yourself that maybe you can’t do it on your own. By exploring your emotions together, I will help you understand and overcome any complicated feelings you may have about yourself or other significant people, or anything you may feel is holding you back from living a happy and fulfilled life.
