Dr Tracy Garnett
Clinical Psychologist, Surrey

Hello, my name is Dr Tracy Garnett and I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist.

I have experience of working with adults, adolescents, couples and families to address a broad range of

difficulties. These include anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social and relationship issues, anger management, low self-confidence, work-related problems, adjustment to physical health conditions, loss and bereavement, and phobias.

I have worked across a wide range of services within the NHS and I have specialist experience of working therapeutically with adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Before starting in private practice I worked as a Clinical Psychologist within the national specialist Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Service at the Maudsley Hospital in London.

I aim to provide a therapeutic space that is encouraging, supportive and non-judgemental. I work together with my clients explore the elements that are maintaining their difficulties, before applying evidence-based interventions to help them to work towards their personal goals. My current approach is informed mainly by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I am an advocate of dynamic, time-limited therapy that is focussed collaboratively and specifically on the needs of each individual client.
