My name is Dr Louise Oliver, one of the founders and directors of Surrey Psychology. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with 20 years of NHS and private practice experience. Before starting my own private practice in Epsom and Banstead I worked for the NHS as a Senior Psychologist within London Primary Care services and for the British CBT and Counselling Service.
As a chartered psychologist, I am trained in a range of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Person Centred Therapy. However, I have chosen to specialise in CBT as I have seen first hand how effective it is at helping people learn tools and techniques to achieve meaningful change.
