Hello, my name is Dr Kirsty Read and I am a Clinical Psychologist. In addition to private practice, I have over 10 years experience working in the NHS in mental health services, predominantly supporting adults with their mental health needs. I am dedicated to supporting people to find more effective ways of addressing their difficulties, to bring about meaningful change, and to move closer towards the life

they want to lead.

My clinical experience and training mean that I am able to support people with a wide range of difficulties including:

- anxiety

- depression or low mood

- low self-esteem or confidence issues

- overwhelming levels of worry or stress

- obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

- phobias

- issues with body-image

- bipolar disorder

- distressing perceptual experiences e.g. voice hearing

- post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

- complex emotional difficulties (or personality disorder)

- relationship difficulties

I offer a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, including but not limited to, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema informed CBT and Acceptance and

Commitment Therapy (ACT). I work in a collaborative and flexible way, meaning that interventions are tailored to meet the needs of the person I am working with. Whatever the challenges you are facing and the therapy approach you may need, I offer a warm, safe and non-judgmental space, where we can work together as a team to enhance your wellbeing and quality of life.

Qualifications:

- BPS accredited Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) - University of Surrey

-  BSc (Hons) in Psychology, First Class - University of Reading

-  Family Interventions for Adults Foundation level by the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice - University of Surrey

-  Registered Practitioner Psychologist (Health and Care Professions Council)

-  Member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists

-  Professional Indemnity Insurance Cover and Enhanced DBS Clearance
