Dr Joshua Roberts
Clinical Psychologist
My name is Dr Joshua Roberts, I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist with a large body of experience working with children, families, and young adults. I have worked within the NHS for seven years and have supported individuals experiencing anxiety (generalised, social, separation, health), phobias, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), long-term health conditions, sleep difficulties, low self-esteem and trauma (post-traumatic stress, developmental, complex). I also have experience supporting individuals and families struggling with managing Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
My priority is getting to know the people I work with and supporting them through the therapeutic process, which can sometimes feel daunting. I work to develop a joint understanding of the difficulties my clients are experiencing, from a non-judgemental and empathic perspective.
I am an integrative therapist, meaning I draw from several different therapeutic modalities to introduce helpful techniques and skills to support people in working toward their goals. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Systemic Therapy.
