​​My name is Dr Sharon Allan. I am a Chartered Psychologist and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist/ and Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with 10 years of NHS experience. I currently work for an NHS trust delivering therapy (individual and groups) in a child & adolescent mental health service community team.

I am currently training to be a Counselling Psychologist and as part of this course, I am training in a range of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Person-Centred Therapy.

• Currently near completion of a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (British Psychological society – The Qualification in Counselling Psychology (QCoP) is the independent route to training as a counselling psychologist, which is an alternative route to those undertaking a professional doctorate at university. 

• PhD Psychology. (Title: Early Intervention and Prevention of Children at Risk of Problem Behaviours) (University of Roehampton). Led to the Chartered Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society. 

• MA Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy for children, adolescents & families. (BACP accredited). (University of Roehampton) 

• MSc Applied Psychological Research (Psychopathology). Grade: merit  (University of Roehampton) 

• BSc (Hons) in Psychology (University of Roehampton) 

• Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatments - Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) (Charlie Waller Institute – University of Reading.
